Is ‘Basketball Wives’ Star Evelyn Lozada Friends With Jennifer Williams Again?
Although there is plenty of drama to come on “Basketball Wives” Season 6, the promo released for episode 13 hints at a possible reconciliation for Evelyn Lozada and her former friend Jennifer Williams.
On Monday, Jennifer shared a message on Instagram from Shaunie O’Neal’s Twitter account teasing the reunion. “I can’t wait for you all to see the reunion of @iamjennifer and @EvelynLozada NEXT WEEK!!!! #basketballwives,” she tweeted.

Jennifer commented under the photo, hinting that the meet up would be an emotional one. “Here we go.... @vh1 next Monday! Get that popcorn and Kleenex ready #IssaMoment,” she wrote.
In the promo for the upcoming episode, it is revealed that Jennifer reached out to Evelyn asking if the two could meet up and speak. Although the promo doesn’t reveal how the talk goes, the two women individually expressed that they were nervous to see one another after five years without communication.
Lozada and Williams were seemingly inseparable when “Basketball Wives” launched in 2010. The women, who were friends way before the series premiered, had a falling out in 2011 which resulted to the end of their long friendship.
The rift was caused when Jennifer did an interview in which she spoke negatively about Evelyn’s relationship with former fiancé Chad Ochocinco. It also didn’t help that at the time, Jennifer wrote about the drama on her blog with Hollywood Life.
“As for the big drama with Evelyn … Let me start by saying that everything I said in that interview, I have said before and to her face in Season 2. I also feel like all the talks with Noe, Shaunie and Tami were unnecessary. I have known Evelyn for over a decade, and if she has an issue with me, she should have come straight to me,” she wrote in July 2011.
“Talking to a bunch of people only instigates things and when Evelyn gets mad, she just lets it build, instead of dealing with it right away in a calm manner,” Jennifer continued.
“The idea of me being jealous of Evelyn’s engagement is a bunch of crap, and NO I do not mess around with the same type of guys that Evelyn dates. I am just getting out of a 10-year relationship and am very cautious about who I go out with.”
“However, I do want to say that as a friend I would never do anything intentional to hurt anyone’s feelings. Evelyn and I have been through a lot, and hopefully, we will make it over this hurdle as well. Stay tuned,” she wrote, ending the post.
Although the two seemed to come to an understanding during the “Basketball Wives” Season 4 reunion in which they hugged despite their differences, Jennifer hinted that she still had issues with Evelyn in February.
During an interview with Z 107.9 host Bijou Star, Jennifer said she wouldn’t be on “Basketball Wives” Season 6 because Evelyn told producers she didn’t want her on the show.
Jennifer told the host that Evelyn did not want her back on the show and was informed by producers that she would not be returning to the series even though she shot scenes with the cast.
“I did the panel, and that went great. And we were having conversations and then next thing I know our conversation started going in a whole different direction and I was told that one of the cast members did not want me back,” Jennifer said.

“Evelyn and I definitely are not friends. I don’t know why the new girls would say that. You can kind of figure that out for yourself,” she added.
Despite Jennifer’s interview, it looks like Evelyn has had a change of heart. “Basketball Wives” Season 6 airs Mondays at 9 p.m. EDT on VH1.
