“Bates Motel” left viewers with their jaws on the ground at the end of episode 3. While the entire episode explored the ongoing struggles of the Bates family, it wasn’t until the final moments when Norma dropped a major bombshell on her two sons -- that her brother, Caleb, was Dylan’s father.

Needless to say, Norma’s big reveal will have repercussions, and that’s what A&E viewers will explore in episode 4, “Check Out.”

According to a leaked synopsis for the March 24 episode, Caleb’s return will cause Dylan to “question his loyalty to Norma and Norman.” But Norma doesn’t seem to care. The matriarch is too busy wining and dining with her new friend Christine in the White Pine social scene. That doesn’t mean that Norman is ready to give up on his brother. The teen will grow “increasingly worried about Caleb’s presence in town.”

Viewers know what happens to Norman when he becomes worried and overwhelmed; he blacks out! Norman already tried fighting Dylan in episode 3. Could he potentially attack Caleb in episode 4? And, is Caleb telling the truth about the hotel opportunity in Costa Rica? Or is Dylan at risk of being ripped off by his dad/ uncle?

The Bates family drama won’t be the only thing plaguing episode 4. Since the start of Season 2, tension has been building between the two rival drug families in White Pine Bay. The body count is growing, and Romero will find himself “caught in the middle of Zane’s war” in “Check Out.”
