Today at 4:30pm (EST), Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 2 will heat up New York City's Lincoln Center with its red-carpet premiere. Hundreds of fans have already lined up - and slept out - outside the venue with the wish for a glimpse of the stars.

The first 200 will have the privilege to stand near the red carpet. The first group of fans on the line arrived there six days ago, reports PIX 11.

We know fans are super excited, but how is everyone else feeling? HP7, Part 2 premiered last Wednesday in London. While the event was full of fan madness and red-carpet glamour, it was also an emotional rush for the author, J.K. Rowling and actress Emma Watson. Rowling admits that she is terribly proud of the franchise but looks forward to more projects in the future. This feels like a new beginning to me, she said. I've done quite a lot since finishing Harry. I also felt I wanted the last film out of the way before I made any moves on the publishing front. 'Harry' is so huge and I suppose my involvement with the world has still been quite intense, Rowling expressed at the London premiere. Of course, she is very correct. Since the break out of Harry Potter fever, Rowling has become one of the most wealthiest women in the world. The series has sold over 450 million copies and the films have grossed $6.37 billion. Rowling herself is still surprised at the enormous success.
