Ben Affleck once again proved that he is a hands-on parent when he went to his and Jennifer Garner's son Samuel's game over the weekend.

On Sunday, Affleck made an appearance at 7-year-old Samuel's baseball game in Los Angeles. But he didn't just cheer his son on, the "Justice League" star also participated by taking on an on-field role and coaching Samuel and his teammates.

In photos obtained by Daily Mail of the outing, Affleck looked comfortable in a white t-shirt, gray hoodie and dark blue bomber jacket. He paired these with fitted gray jeans, burgundy sneakers and a Dodgers baseball cap.

Prior to the game, Affleck helped out with setting up the bases around the field and a self-pitching machine. However, while the Oscar-winning actor was bending down to adjust the mechanics of the pitching device, he accidentally exposed his backside and back tattoo. Images from Affleck's Sunday outing showed part of his butt and the massive phoenix tattoo covering most of his back.

Despite his accidental exposure, Affleck succeeded in setting up the device, allowing his son's team to begin batting practice.

In addition to Samuel, Affleck also shares daughters Violet, 13, and Seraphina, 10, with Garner. In fact, his ex-wife and two daughters were also present at the game to cheer Samuel on and show their support.

Some photos from the outing showed Garner, Affleck and their children chatting and smiling as they hung out as a family.

Meanwhile, Affleck's tattoo was first spotted last year, with many criticizing the design of the ink. The actor-director initially claimed that the tattoo was only for a movie role and thus temporary.

However, during an interview on "The Ellen Show," he confessed that the ink was important to him and was there to stay.

After host Ellen DeGeneres showed a photo of a shirtless Affleck and his phoenix tattoo, the actor admitted that most of the attention it got had not been positive. However, he stands by his decision to get it.

"It's meaningful to me. I like it. It's not something I sort of kept private. The sentiment ran against... but I love my tattoo, I'm happy with it. Luckily, I'm the one who has it," he shared.
