Ben Affleck And Jennifer Garner Divorce Update: Matt Damon Comments On His Friend's Mood, Saying 'He's Good'

With Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner’s anticipated divorce has come a tumultuous time not only for the couple’s respective fans but also for their friends and families. Now, one of the people closest to the “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” actor is speaking out about his buddy’s recent relationship struggles.

While promoting his forthcoming film “The Martian,” actor Matt Damon opened up to Entertainment Tonight about his friend and “Good Will Hunting” collaborator. The outlet asked him both how his friend was doing after his very public split from Garner and why he wasn’t at Affleck’s Disney World birthday celebration Aug. 15. His replies indicate it appears the duo’s friendship remains unshaken.

“I was in Boston with my family actually. It was kind of a meaningless, it was 43, you know? It wasn’t that big,” Damon joked about the birthday observance before touching upon the divorce. “I think he was actually in Atlanta with his family. So we missed each other but ... he’s good. He’s good.”

It seems Affleck is getting some support from friends during this very difficult time in his life. However, those who worry the 42-year-old actor’s ex is getting the short end of the stick need not fear. It was previously reported that the actress was finding comfort of her own in both friends and after the most recent rumors that Affleck engaged in an affair during their marriage, according to People.

During the 10-year marriage, Affleck allegedly had an affair with their 28-year-old nanny, Christine Ouzounian, according to a Us Weekly report. They hired Ouzounian to help them take care of their three children. The nanny was let go by Garner, but it’s unclear whether the alleged affair had anything to do with the firing as Affleck has routinely denied any allegations that he cheated on Garner during their marriage.

Affleck and Garner, despite hanging out on occasion for the benefit of their children, are fully separated. Meanwhile, Affleck appears to have no contact with Ouzounian at this time.
