Ben Higgins On Ex Lauren Bushnell’s Romance With Devin Antin: ‘She’s Happy’

Ben Higgins has shared his honest thoughts about ex-fiancée Lauren Bushnell’s romance with Devin Antin. He has also admitted that he is still not ready to date again.

On Friday, Higgins opened up about his thoughts on Bushnell’s new romantic relationship in an interview. “I don’t know a lot about the situation, honestly. From what I understand and from what I hear, she’s happy,” Higgins told Us Weekly. “As hard as that is for me to think about — because it’s still hard to think about and I think it would be hard for her to think about if I was in that situation.”

Higgins also disclosed what it was like learning about Bushnell’s romance. “I was on a run a few weeks back. I was praying the whole time. It was kind of first when I heard about everything. Life was catching up with me,” he said. ”There was a lot going on. I was just praying like, ‘God, please clear some things up. Release some burdens or release some anxiety.’”

He went on to say, “I just stopped and I thought, ‘If you’re the man you claim you want to be, which I’m not always, then you need to celebrate Lauren being happy and you need to do that well and you need to mean it when you say it.’”

Higgins and Bushnell met on “The Bachelor” Season 20 and got engaged on the show in March 2016. They called it quits in May 2017 without really explaining in detail what went wrong.

Earlier this month, Bushnell outed her new relationship with Antin when she posted a photo with the latter on her Instagram Story. A source told Us Weekly at the time that Bushnell and Antin “have been dating for a while now” and that the blonde beauty has already met her new beau’s family.

Meanwhile, Higgins seems to be having a hard time getting back into the dating game. During his “Ben and Ashley I. Almost Famous Podcast,” he admitted that he is actually having a tough time at present because of his recent split from Bushnell. “It would be really hard for me … right now to kiss anybody,” he said.

“I’m not ready to date,” Higgins was quoted as saying by Brit + Co. “It still feels weird to me. I do desire a relationship. I do long for a commitment. I do long to love somebody really well and really hard and … I’m ready to find that. I’m not closed off to that.”
