Best iOS 13 Features For AirPods, AirPods Pro And Beats Headphones
Apple continues to improve its highly popular audio accessories, the AirPods and AirPods Pro, by introducing new features with iOS 13. Here's a quick look at how the latest iOS version helps improve the AirPods experience.
iOS 13 was supposed to included some features during launch, but sadly, some of these were delayed for future updates. Thankfully, iOS 13.2, which is already here, included these features, Apple Insider noted. Here's what the features are and what they do for the AirPods user.
Announce Messages With Siri
This feature is perfect for those who love using their AirPods all the time. The Announce Messages with Siri feature, which was supposed to be released with iOS 13 but was delayed, lets Siri announce incoming messages and reads them to the user.
When a new message arrives, Siri will lower music levels and announce the name of the sender, along with the message. If another message arrives while Siri is announcing a message, the voice assistant will simply continue the conversation and read the succeeding message. After announcing messages, Siri will wait for the user to say “reply” and dictate a response.
Audio Sharing
This feature allows users to share audio between two different sets of Apple headphones, including the first- and second-gen AirPods, the AirPods Pro, the Powerbeats Pro, Powerbeats3, Beats Solo3 Wireless, Beats Studio3 Wireless, BeatsX, and Beats Solo Pro. This feature makes it easier for two people to watch the same video, listen to the same music, and play the game on one device.
This feature is easy to use. All a user needs to do is connect his AirPods to his iPhone, then have the second person place a compatible Apple headphone near the first person's iPhone. A modal dialog will appear, asking if the user wants to share audio temporarily.
Users will be able to control volume levels for each connected audio accessory. Those who use AirPods Pro can adjust between noise cancellation or transparency mode from Control Center, alongside the other set of connected headphones. To stop sharing audio, all users need to do is to disconnect from the AirPlay menu.
These are but some of the new iOS 13 features designed to improve the AirPods experience.
