The fans have been eagerly waiting for “Better Call Saul” Season 5, but a release date hasn’t been announced yet. The show will not be returning this year, but an announcement about it is expected soon.

One of the fans tagged the official Twitter page of the TV series recently to ask the one question that is on everyone’s mind- when is the show returning? “No return date yet but hold tight,” was the official response. Commenting on the post, the fans joked about how frustrating the wait has been.

The finale episode of Season 4 aired back on Oct. 8 last year. The show will now return in 2020, making it the longest wait so far.

There may have been good reasons for the delay. A “Breaking Bad” movie was release earlier this month, which focussed on the continued journey of Jesse (Aaron Paul), and the producers may have wanted to keep the spotlight on the film.

Meanwhile, “Better Call Saul” Season 5 will take Jimmy’s journey one step closer to the end. Season 6 may be the last for the TV series.

The cast members have been busy at work, and the production for the TV series wrapped a few weeks ago. The cast members and producer Peter Gould posed for a group photo on the last day of filming, and that photo has been shared on the official Instagram page of the show.

“Thank you for all of your support! We love you,” the Instagram post was captioned. The producers also asked the fans to keep following the social media page for updates about the release date.

The anticipation is high for the show’s return. The TV series was recently recognized by TV Guide as the best spin-off.

“Better Call Saul” Season 5 is expected to air sometime in 2020. If the show returns around February, like the first two seasons, the announcement will be made in the coming weeks.
