Beyoncé, Jay-Z And President Obama Hold Contest To Bring Winner Out With Them In NYC
The president of the United States and the King and Queen of hip-hop will meet one lucky winner of a contest and their guest in New York City later this month at a fundraiser hosted by Beyoncé and Jay-Z. Contestants can enter to win the prize by submitting their email address and zip code on Obama's official website.
"I usually don't email you -- but I have an amazing invitation I have to share," read Beyoncé's email sent through Obama's website. "Jay and I will be meeting up with President Obama for an evening in NYC sometime soon. And we want you to be there!"
The lucky winner will be flown to NYC to join the president and the hip-hop stars for a fundraiser on Sept. 18 at Jay-Z 's 40/40 Club, reported Politico.
"I've had the honor of meeting President Obama and the First Lady a few times -- and believe me -- it's an opportunity you don't want to miss," added Beyoncé in her email. "Don't worry about the airfare and hotel, it's taken care of. And you can bring a guest."
Entrants must enter the contest before midnight this Thursday night. The website said the prize will include, "Round-trip tickets for winner and a guest from within the fifty U.S. States, DC, or Puerto Rico to a destination to be determined by Sponsor; hotel accommodations; tickets for winner and a guest to an event of Sponsor; and the opportunity to meet with President Obama, Jay-Z and Beyonce at such event (approximate retail value of all prizes $1,600). Odds of winning depend on number of entries received."
Beyoncé and Jay-Z will be raising funds for the re-election campaign of the president. It costs $40,000 to attend, Politico reported.
"This has been a big year for my husband and me: We became parents," Beyoncé said, according to Politico. "Now that we have more than our own futures to worry about, the stakes in this election are even higher."
