Beyonce Addresses Pregnancy Rumors During Interview With 'Today' Host Savannah Guthrie
Beyonce has finally opened up about rumors that she is pregnant, but may have left fans with even more questions. While on "Today" with reporter Savannah Guthrie, she was asked about the media speculation regarding whether or not the 31-year-old is adding to her family soon.
“What kind of rumor? Huh?” Beyonce said jokingly. “I don’t know what you’re talking about!”
The singer was interviewed prior to her performance at the Sound of Change concert Saturday night in England. The event, which was sponsored by Chime for Change, an organization founded by fashion powerhouse Gucci, focuses on education, health and justice for women in primarily underprivileged countries.
Beyoncé was first rumored to be pregnant just weeks ago, when she brought 18-month-old daughter Blue Ivy on stage during her world tour. When the singer bent over to grab her baby's hand, a small bump was visible beneath her skin-tight bodysuit. Then at the Met Gala a few days later in New York, the megastar stunned in a Givenchy gown, but her midsection was hidden under a large black belt. Most recently, Beyonce canceled a tour date in Belgium, and her publicist stated doctors advised her to rest due to exhaustion and dehydration.
It remains unclear if Beyonce is in fact pregnant, however.
“When I saw her, she was wearing this sheath dress and I thought, ‘Hmm, maybe,’” Guthrie said after the interview to her fellow co-workers. “Then I saw her on stage, and she was wearing a leather body suit. So unless she’s like 30 seconds pregnant, I don’t know.”
