Beyoncé really knows how to treasure her fans. The diva recently fulfilled the dream of a fan who is battling cancer.

On Wednesday, March 22, Beyoncé made one very special FaceTime call. A high-school student named Ebony Banks, who has stage four cancer, loves Beyoncé so much, and one of her biggest dreams is to meet the artist. After hearing her plight, the “Halo” singer decided to make this dream come true and called her via FaceTime to send her a message.

In the short clip of their FaceTime call, the Grammy-winner greeted Banks and told her, “I love you.”

Banks was a senior at Alief Hastings High School and a member of the school’s color guard. However, she spent most of her senior year at the MD Anderson Hospital after being diagnosed with cancer. But her condition didn’t stop Banks’ from graduating and receiving her diploma. The school held a special graduation ceremony for her at the hospital, News Fix reported.

As for how she got to talk to her idol, Banks’ classmates wanted to give her a special graduation gift. They knew how much she loved Beyoncé, so they found way for Banks to meet the “Lemonade” singer. “[Banks] is a really big fan of [Beyoncé] and she has so much love for her that we really want to get [Banks] to meet her,” her friend Cristal Depaz told ABC 13.

Banks’ classmates turned to social media to get Queen Bey’s attention, so they could fulfill Banks’ last wish. “Beyoncé is one of her idols. She admires her so much, so we’re trying to put that on Twitter and Instagram to get Beyoncé’s attention,” said pal Karina Guttierez.

In order to get her attention, the group used the hashtag #EBOBMEETSBEYONCE on social media, which refers to Banks’ nickname, “EBOB.” They also encouraged everyone to join in and help their friend meet her idol.

The project became a success when Beyoncé called Banks via FaceTime. “Thank you to everyone who helped #ebobmeetsbeyonce @Beyonce,” Banks’ school tweeted following the meeting.
