Beyoncé Met Gala 2015 Dress: Breaking Down The Look From Designer To Jeweler
Fashion icon and multi-Grammy award winning singer Beyoncé owned the 2015 Met Gala red carpet Monday night in a look that can be summed up in two words: sheer elegance. The star rocked a Givenchy Haute Couture number from designer Riccardo Tisci and dripped in jewels from Lorraine Schwartz. The peek-a-boo dress glittered with pink, yellow, green and clear rhinestones, while Beyoncé topped off the look with a gorgeous side pony tail.
Coming to the party fashionably late, Beyoncé’s beaded dress left little to the imagination, much like Kim Kardashian and Jennifer Lopez’s flowing see-through gowns. Queen Bey and her designer Tisci opted for more neutral tones for her Met Gala 2015 look, making the hand-beaded crystals on her dress the shining centerpiece.
The dress hugged her figure down to her knees, where the skirt flowed opened into a glittering trail behind her. Not to be missed, Beyoncé’s platform shoes balanced on an optical illusion: using a red heel to match the carpet. The Queen also took several photos for her Instagram followers, including a close-up of her sparkling jewels and neckline. Her sister Solange was also in attendance, but kept a lower profile than last year's elevator fracas. Beyoncé’s husband Jay-Z walked the red carpet with her.
The Met Gala raises millions for the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Anna Wintour Costume Center. This year’s theme was influenced by the Met’s latest exhibit, “China: Through the Looking Glass.”
