Beyonce 'Ratchet' Pictures Explained With New Song ‘Turnt’ Featuring The Dream [AUDIO]
Back in December, Beyoncé had fans on the edges of their seats when she posted new pictures to her Instagram account wearing interesting nameplate earrings.
The earrings did not have her name engraved, but rather the word "Ratchet," which has become a popular term in 2012, primarily in the hip-hop community. The word has been used to refer to situations that are not socially acceptable or seen as being "ghetto."
It was unclear what the motive for the photos were, and various sources speculated that the first single released from Beyoncé's upcoming fifth studio album will be called “Ratchet.”
This is not the case, as she debuted “Grown Woman” last month, but a preview of a new song featuring the Dream called "Turnt" has been released.
One line in the snippet is “I need that sexy, ratchet, sophisticated, ratchet” hence the “ratchet” photos.
The new music will be the first since the birth of her daughter, Blue Ivy, and her last studio album, "4," which was released last year.
"She's got her stuff going. She took the summer to start recording, and now she's in a place where she's ready to start gearing up to reveal her plan. She's already gearing up to get ready to put stuff out,” the Dream said back in December.
