Beyonce Stuns VMAs With Pregnancy Announcement [Photos]

Singer Beyonce Knowles chose Sunday's MTV Video Music Awards to announce that she's pregnant.

A spokesperson for Beyonce confirmed to ABCNews.com that the star, wife of Jay Z, is indeed with child.

The 29-year-old Grammy-winning diva always wanted to have a baby before turning 30. She sure has gotten her wish.

Draped in a stunning, flowing red Lanvin gown which highlighted her baby bump, Knowles posed for photographers while shocking the black carpet with her announcement.

I always said I would have a baby at 30, Beyonce said in a June interview on CNN's Piers Morgan Tonight show.

According to an OK! report, an eyewitness told the magazine that Knowles had a little bump you could see once she pointed to it.

She had a glow, but until we found out we thought she just had glowy makeup. She couldn't stop smiling, the eyewitness added.

Knowles turns 30 on Sept. 4. She married music mogul Jay-Z, 41, in April 2008. This will be the first child for the couple.

Now I'm a woman, and because I gave it my all, I can focus on my marriage. I can decide I want to have kids. I can be the mother I want to be and dedicate myself to my children, Knowles told Instyle earlier this year, reports ABCNews.com.
