Beyoncé 'XO' Live: Singer Performs New Song For First Time At Chicago Concert
After the surprise release of her fifth studio album, "Beyoncé," the Queen Bey gave fans an additional treat during the Chicago stop of her Mrs. Carter Show World Tour. For the first time ever, she performed the song "XO" live. The song is the tenth track off the audio-video album, which has 14 songs and 17 videos.
"I'm gonna sing you a song which is a brand-new song. It hasn't even been out for 24 hours," she said as she introduced the track. "I'm gonna sing this for y'all because it was written for y'all... This is the first time, something I'll never forget."
Beyoncé will be releasing "Blow" and "Drunk in Love" as the album's lead singles, reports Billboard. These will be followed by "XO." The album -- which was released with no promo, lead single or set release date -- is projected to top the Billboard 200 albums' chart. According to Billboard, the iTunes-exclusive project sold more than 80,000 copies within the first three hours of going on sale late Thursday night.
