‘Big Bang Theory’ 11 Spoilers: Sheldon, Amy To Fight Over Their Jobs
Sheldon (Jim Parsons) and Amy (Mayim Bialik) are bound to get married soon, but this does not mean everything will go smoothly for the couple.
In the upcoming episodes of “Big Bang Theory” Season 11, Sheldon and Amy will have discussions over their careers. According to showrunner Steve Holland, Sheldon’s career as a physicist will not be impactful as Amy’s job in the field of neuroscience.
“The physics world, especially with the Large Hadron Collider, they were expecting much bigger breakthroughs that they really haven’t seen, whereas neuroscience is really flourishing, it’s such an exciting field and it’s getting a lot of money thrown at it,” he told Entertainment Weekly.
Holland adds that despite his career not booming, Sheldon will continue to think that physics is the greatest science in the same way that he thinks he is the best physicist in the world.
“So one of the things we’re going to deal with in a little bit of an arc for Sheldon and Amy is that her career is really taking off and his isn’t doing so well. That’s an interesting place for Sheldon to be… He obviously loves and respects Amy, so having him to deal with those emotions is going to be really fun,” he explained.
Meanwhile, “Big Bang Theory” Season 11 won’t return to CBS until Nov. 2. The series premiered on Monday with a total of 17 million viewers. In “The Proposal,” Amy finally said yes to Sheldon’s proposal. Bernadette (Melissa Rauch) and Howard (Simon Helberg) learned that they will be parents again, while Penny (Kaley Cuoco) and Leonard (Johnny Galecki) contemplated on whether or not they should have children.
In episode 2, rumored to be titled “The Retraction Reaction,” Leonard will be interviewed by the NPR, but it will not go well. Amy and Bernadette will also have some alone time. The two characters will be talking about their success. There’s no mention about Penny, Sheldon, Howard and Raj (Kunal Nayyar) in the episode, but they will also be part of episode 3, rumored to be called “The Relaxation Integration.”
“Big Bang Theory” Season 11 will return to CBS on Nov. 2 at 8 p.m. EDT.
