'The Big Bang Theory' Cast Performs 'Grease' At Charity Event, Kaley Cuoco Steals The Show With Scantily-Clad Dance Number
It’s the cast of “The Big Bang Theory” like you’ve never seen them before. The leads of the immensely popular CBS sitcom used their star power to do a live stage throwback to the 1950s for a very good cause on Wednesday.
Stars Jim Parsons, Johnny Galecki, Melissa Rauch, Kunal Nayyar, Simon Helberg, Mayim Bialik and Kaley Cuoco took the stage of the Beverly Hilton Hotel on Wednesday dressed in their best period clothes in order to perform some hits from the musical “Grease” at the 24th annual A Night at Sardi’s event designed to benefit the Alzheimer’s Association and its work both treating and spreading awareness of the disease. The group reportedly delivered a fun performance of “You’re The One That I Want” and “We Go Together” from the 1971 theater hit.
According to the event’s official website, the annual show brings some of the most prominent names in the entertainment industry under one roof for a good cause. However, Wednesday’s showcase from “The Big Bang Theory” stars held a special significance as it was the final time this show will happen. To celebrate the big night, both Melissa Rauch and Kaley Cuoco posted photos of the cast in their 1950s wardrobe on Instagram. Rauch caption her image with a nice note, and clever pun, from the musical saying: “We’ll always be together!”
Cuoco did something similar with her caption of a photo showing her, Rauch and Bialik, but that was hardly the biggest takeaway for the 30-year-old star. As People notes, Cuoco stole the show prior to her “Big Bang Theory” star's “Grease” showcase by showing off her steamier dance moves with a song and dance performance of “Dance 10 Looks 3” from “A Chorus Line.” To make the performance complete, she took the stage in a scantily-clad outfit that showed off her body and left her dance moves pretty unrestricted.
“The Big Bang Theory” cast can be seen in another new episode of the sitcom on Thursday, March 10 at 8 p.m. EST.
