'The Big Bang Theory' Season 9 Spoilers: Amy Gives Dave Another Chance In Episode 10 Sneak Peek [VIDEO]

The night has almost arrived! The promos for episode 10 of "The Big Bang Theory" Season 9, "The Earworm Reverberation," have made no secret -- perhaps because fans who attended the episode taping broke the news online -- of the fact that this will be the episode Sheldon (Jim Parsons) and Amy (Mayim Bialik) get back together. However, those "Shamy" shippers will have to be patient. While the couple might end the episode with that much-teased kiss, a sneak-peek video reveals that when the show begins, Amy is more interested in another man -- Dave (returning guest star Stephen Merchant)!

With all of the hoopla surrounding Sheldon and Amy getting back together this week, fans may have forgotten that Sheldon turned his ex-girlfriend down after their Thanksgiving trip to the aquarium, claiming they should stay friends as it would be too hard for him to go through getting over her again. Well, Amy has not forgotten and when episode 10 begins, she has no intention of sitting around waiting for Sheldon and instead gives Dave a call. Fans might remember that Dave and Amy's last date ended poorly when it turned out that he was Sheldon's biggest fan, but things seem to be going a lot better this time!

"I'm pleasantly surprised to hear from you," says Dave, "considering how our last date ended."

"Well, we both made mistakes," Amy replies. "I took the last bread stick and you gushed over my ex-boyfriend like he was Leonard Nimoy and you were my ex-boyfriend."

Dave even gets in a few charming jokes.

"Let me just check my schedule -- he said trying to sound like a man with things on his schedule,"says Dave.

Meanwhile, another sneak-peek video shows Sheldon annoying Leonard (Johnny Galecki) and Penny (Kaley Cuoco) by humming a song he can not get out of his head. The synopsis reveals that the song -- "Darlin'" by the Beach Boys -- inspires Sheldon to have a bit of a change of a heart about Amy. Well, "Shamy" shippers can thank Brian Wilson because the promo shows Sheldon showing up right in the middle of Amy's date with Dave to give her a big kiss.

Will Sheldon and Amy get back together? Spoiler alert -- yes, they will, but fans will have to wait just a little longer to see it all go down. "The Big Bang Theory" airs on CBS Thursdays at 8 p.m. EST.
