After one houseguest is sent out the door, host Julie Chen will announce to the remaining contestants that a second eviction will take place within the next few minutes. Before the next ceremony, the houseguests will participate in a game that will determine who will become next week’s Head of Household (HOH).
Just like in the previous weeks, the HOH will be tasked to immediately name two nominees who will be in danger of being sent home. The two nominees, HOH and the other houseguests who will be picked in the random draw will participate in the Power of Veto (POV) ceremony. Whoever wins the POV could use it to his or her advantage.
If a nominated houseguest wins the POV, he or she could use it to keep themselves safe for another week. If the HOH earns the POV, it is his or her decision to either use it or maintain the nominations. After the POV ceremony is completed, the host will name the final nominees on Thursday night, and the houseguests will go to the Diary Room one by one to cast their votes.
Whoever will receive the most number of eviction votes will be sent packing and will be joining the previous evictee at the jury house.
As of late, Cody Nickson’s fate seems to have been sealed. HOH Alex Ow put him up as a replacement nominee after Matt Clines used his POV on Jason Dent. But the houseguests are still unaware that a double eviction will take place on Thursday night so anything could happen in the game.
Mark Jansen and Elena Davies are two other obvious targets, according to Big Brother Network. But Mark has been winning in the Temptation Competition twists so the houseguests were unable to put him on the chopping block. Unfortunately, the last Temptation Competition has already been held so none of the houseguests can benefit from this anymore.
“Big Brother” Season 19 will air a special Friday episode this week on top of its usual Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday schedule.
