“Big Little Lies” has just been renewed for a second season, and there’s already one important question being asked by fans: is Perry (Alexander Skarsgard) dead or alive?

In the Season 1 finale, it was revealed – or assumed – that Perry died after Bonnie (Zoe Kravitz) pushed him down the stairs. “Big Little Lies” was supposed to end on that note, but since HBO picked it up for Season 2, the writers have to come up with something creative and exciting for the viewers.

While speaking with People at the 2018 Golden Globes, Skarsgard hinted on the possibility of Perry surviving the fall. “I don’t even know if I’m really dead or not. I feel okay right now, but we’ll see,” he said.

Skarsgard, who won best supporting actor in a limited series on Sunday’s award show, also dished on filming “Big Little Lies.” “There are definitely days where it’s tough to keep it light and some of the scenes that Nicole and I had were horrible to shoot, but we were surrounded by an amazing group of people,” he said.

Skarsgard and Nicole Kidman’s scenes were the most grueling of all because they played the roles of an abusive couple.

Meanwhile, Eva Longoria, who happens to be a close friend of Kidman and Reese Witherspoon, also joked about joining “Big Little Lies” Season 2.

Witherspoon told People that she shared one secret about the series to the “Desperate Housewives” alum. “I am joining ‘Big Little Lies’ as Nicole’s lover,” Longoria joked.

“We should be so lucky!” Witherspoon said.

By the looks of it, Longoria won’t really be playing the role of Celeste’s (Kidman) lover nor join the series. But fans can expect new and exciting storylines because Season 2 has been picked up for seven more episodes.

“It definitely warrants a second season and I have to say, we were not preparing for a second season. It was the audiences and the critical reaction that made us go, ‘Okay, we need to get our heads down, our butts up and let’s go try and make this work,’ and we did!” Kidman told Ryan Seacrest (via People).

“Big Little Lies” Season 2 will premiere on HBO this spring.
