A motorcyclist became engulfed in flames after a cop tased him at a traffic stop in Arkansas. The shocking incident was captured on camera.

Police said the man sustained burns after his backpack filled with gasoline burst into flames on Oct. 13 along Asher Avenue near Pine Street, NY Post reported.

Troopers attempted to pull over the motorcyclist, identified as 38-year-old Christopher Gaylor, for not having a license plate. The man did not stop and led officers on a high-speed chase.

A dashcam video, released by the Arkansas State Police earlier this week, shows Gaylor jumping off his vehicle and running on foot with troopers behind him. One of the troopers tasered him in an attempt to apprehend him. However, his backpack suddenly burst into flames.

Warning: The video might be disturbing to some viewers.

In the video, troopers were heard screaming "he's on fire" and then using a fire extinguisher to douse the flames. They also provided emergency medical care to Gaylor until the paramedics arrived. He was then taken to a nearby hospital and was expected to recover from injuries.

Police said Gaylor was carrying about a gallon of gasoline in his backpack, which triggered the fire.

"An investigation has since revealed Gaylor was carrying approximately 1 gallon of gasoline in a backpack," according to the state police statement, reported CNN.

Gaylor reportedly ignored multiple multiple stop signs and traffic lights before he was chased down by troopers. While officers eventually caught up to Gaylor, he allegedly didn't say anything about carrying the flammable substance in his backpack.

The man was charged with multiple felonies, including fleeing, failure to register a vehicle, no liability insurance, driving with a suspended license and reckless driving. The officers involved in the chase face no disciplinary actions, according to 40/29 TV.

A similar incident took place in May when a Florida man was engulfed in flames after a sheriff's deputy used a taser gun on him at a gas station. The victim, Jean Barreto, suffered third-degree burns.
