Bindi Irwin, Chandler Powell Wedding Could Be Delayed Because Of This
Bindi Irwin and Chandler Powell’s wedding could be delayed due to a possible problem with the venue. Apparently, an arsonist started a fire near the Steve Irwin Wildlife Reserve, where their nuptials are set to happen.
According to New Idea, preparations for Bindi and Chandler’s big day are underway. The soon-to-be husband and wife are busy preparing everything for their wedding at the Australia Zoo next year, but they may have to push back the date due to an impending disaster.
In a recent social media post, the “Dancing With the Stars” Season 21 winner revealed that a nearby fire was approaching their land. She even shared a photo showing the damage that the fire was causing in a neighboring forest.
“As I write this, we are fighting a fire that is approaching our Steve Irwin Wildlife Reserve that was lit by an arsonist nearby,” Bindi wrote. “Across the planet we are facing tremendous challenges as we battle to protect our precious biodiversity from catastrophic events.”
Sources said that depending on the situation, the disaster could force the young couple to delay their wedding. This would be a bummer for Powell, 22, and Bindi, 21, who have been talking about starting a family ever since she was 19.
As previously reported, the conservationist and the wakeboarder have been very eager to tie the knot and start a family that Bindi does not mind getting pregnant even before they walk down the aisle. Insiders disclosed that Bindi is willing to be a pregnant bride.
Meanwhile, Bindi’s grandfather Bob Irwin has revealed that he won’t be attending his granddaughter’s wedding because he hasn’t moved on from their long-running family feud. He also refused to congratulate Bindi on her engagement with Chandler.
It’s not clear when exactly Bob’s feud with Bindi’s family started. However, he made it clear in the past that he did not approve of how the Australia Zoo was becoming too commercialized ever since Steve passed away in 2006.
In 2008, Bob stepped away from the 259-hectare zoo that he founded more than 40 years ago. Then in 2015, he dropped a bombshell when he revealed in an interview that he was no longer on speaking terms with Steve’s wife Terri and the rest of the family.
