"Black Adam" co-producer Hiram Garcia has a lot of great things to say about Pierce Brosnan's portrayal of Dr. Fate in the movie and even called the former James Bond actor "OG."

"When you're looking at Pierce Brosnan, who is an OG as, as best as you could describe it, he just blows you away," Garcia told The Illuminderi in an interview that was released Monday. "From the moment he comes on, on set, he just elevates everything up."

Hiram further gushed over the 68-year-old Irish actor, whom he finds "charming," and noted that he has a great command of his on-screen presence. Moreover, the co-producer explained it's "fun" to watch him work with young actors on the sets and hang around with them.

"They all became such close friends on this process and were hanging so much offset on downtime," he explained to the outlet. "And you could feel that energy and that chemistry when they were on screen. He was such a dream casting."

Hiram went on to explain why Dr. Fate is a "special character," adding that he and Hawkman are the "elder statesman in a universe," considering that they have been around for a really long time.

Dr. Fate first appeared in a 1940s comic book titled "More fun Comics #55." Hawkman, who is originally from Ancient Egypt, also had his first appearances in comic books that came out within the same decade.

"They both have fascinating histories," the co-producer added. "Pierce was able to tap into that weight, that poise that comes with millennia of wisdom as being Dr. Fate and what comes with that helmet. I think he was able to tap into that in a special way for us."

Hiram also noted that the chemistry Brosnan created with other actors on the sets was really "special." The film also stars Dwayne Johnson, Sarah Shahi, Noah Centineo, Hodge, Djimon Hounsou and Quintessa Swindell.

Jaume Collet-Serra's directorial venture, "Black Adam" is slated for release on July 29, 2022. Hiram is co-producing the movie with his brother Dany Garcia, Beau Flynn and the film's lead actor, Johnson.
