‘Black Clover’ Episode 158 Is Not Airing This Week: New Release Date Out

The Spade Kingdom is ready to invade the Clover and Heart Kingdom. Meanwhile, the Magic Knights finish their training and are ready to defend their kingdoms.

Unfortunately, fans will have to wait for all the action as the anime is taking a break, and "Black Clover" Episode 158 is not releasing this Tuesday. Instead, it has been postponed to Tuesday, Jan. 5, 2021.

Here’s the summary for the upcoming episode titled "The Beginning of Hope and Despair."

“After conquering the Diamond Kingdom, The Spade Kingdom begins its invasion of the Clover and Heart Kingdoms. The soldiers of the Spade Kingdom have been forcibly stealing magic from the people in the fortress of Candelo, which is going through a zone of powerful demons. It is there that Asta, who has grown spectacularly through special training with the Spirit Guardian, appears. Meanwhile, Luck Voltia of the Black Bulls and Leopold Vermillion of the Crimson Lion head to see the Princess of the Heart Kingdom, Lolopechka” the synopsis read, as tweeted by BCspoiler.

In the last episode, Asta continues his training with Gaja in the Heart Kingdom. Gaja wants to test Asta’s limit. He hammers the Black Bulls' member with his powers.

Asta has improved after training with Earth and Wind Spirit Guardians but is still unable to beat Gaja.

Meanwhile, Gaja wants to know more about Asta before they enter the next phase of their training. Asta reveals how he became a member of the Black Bulls and acquired the five-leaf grimoire.

Asta also reveals how he developed the ability to sense ki during a do-or-die battle. Gaja realizes that ki is the best technique he could use since he cannot use magic.

Gaja asks Asta how does he manage to put himself in the state in which he brings out the power of the devil that is possessing him. Asta recalls the first time he took on that form. He announces that “never giving up” is his magic.

He tells Gaja that Captain Yami is instrumental in teaching him the ways to use ki during a battle. Toward the end of the episode, Gaja uses Lightning Magic – Tenjiolia against the opponent. Asta remembers that the three leaves of the clover represent hope, love, and faith. However, within the fifth leaf reside the devil, and at that time Gaja meets Asta’s devil.
