BlackBerry Priv: Buyers That Preordered Priv Will Get Hard Shell Case, Car Charger Free Of Cost
BlackBerry made the one-of-a-kind Priv available for preorder starting October and the device has now been released in the U.S. and Canada. This handset comes with a physical QWERTY keyboard that slides out, a dual-edge display and Android OS on board. The good news for those who preordered the device is that BlackBerry is tossing in free goodies.
The BlackBerry Priv can now be purchased from AT&T in the U.S. and from Telus in Canada. However, the preorder window started in October via the company’s official Website. The ones that preordered from ShopBlackBerry have not received the device yet, because BlackBerry apparently informed the customers that shipments have just begun, according to Crack Berry.
Meanwhile, BlackBerry has announced that the ones preordered the Priv will be receiving a slide-out hard shell case and a premium in-vehicle charger free of cost. This free goodie offer is not limited to availability of stock. Apparently, BlackBerry will send out the goodies to all those preordered the handset.
It is worth noting that the hard shell case would normally set the buyers back by $39.99. The point to be noted however is that these goodies will not be sent along with the smartphone. Alternatively, buyers will receive an email explaining how to get the free goodies, Phone Arena reported.
On the other hand, apart from AT&T, Verizon will also be selling the BlackBerry Priv shortly. This device can now be purchased from AT&T for $249.99 with a two-year contract. The other way is to avail the handset outright for $699.
The Priv by BlackBerry runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop OS, out of the box. However, Android fans should note that this handset will reportedly be updated to Android 6.0 Marshmallow sometime in 2016.
