'The Blacklist' Season 2 Spoilers: Episode 20 Synopsis Released; What Will Happen In 'Quon Zhang'? [VIDEO]
All season long on “The Blacklist,” Red (James Spader) has been searching for the Fulcrum. Well, in episode 19, “Leonard Caul,” the blackmail file’s secrets were finally revealed. Now Red and Liz (Megan) have become targets for some high profile people who are none too pleased about the Fulcrum’s exposure. What will happen in episode 20, “Quon Zang?”
According to the synopsis for the new episode, Red will have to find a way to neutralize an imminent threat that emerges as a result of the Fulcrum. Meanwhile, Liz and the FBI task force will have a new case. When the bodies of dead Chinese-American women start turning up, the task force discovers a human trafficking ring smuggling women out of the country under false identities. Plus, Liz will be on the search for more answers about Red after finding that mysterious picture in what appeared to be Red’s apartment in episode 19.
However, the promo for episode 20 makes clear that, though Liz may still not trust Red, the two are in some very real danger together. Liz used the Fulcrum as leverage to force the National Clandestine Services director (David Stathairn) to call off the raid on the warehouse where Red was being treated for his gunshot wounds. Now the NCS – and the rest of the secretive cabal of corrupt intelligence figures after Red – view her as a threat as well. In the promo Red warns Liz that people will try to destroy her, but she does not seem to be afraid. “Let them try,” she tells him.
That may be naive, though, because the promo also reveals that Dembe (Hisham Tawfiq) will be shot! It looks like some very dangerous people are coming after Red and Liz.

Will Liz and Red be able to hold off whatever attacks the NCS throws at them? Fans will have to wait to find out. “The Blacklist” airs Thursdays at 9 p.m. EDT on NBC.
