Blackpink Rumors: Fans Lash Out At Troll Claiming Jennie Kim Is Pregnant

Blackpink’s Jennie Kim (aka Jennie) has recently been rumored to be pregnant, and fans are not happy about this fake news.

A Facebook post under dummy account "Gusion Wansue" claimed that the K-pop girl group’s singer and rapper was allegedly pregnant, adding that this may be the reason why YG Entertainment has been delaying Blackpink’s comeback. The user took to the social media platform to speculate on the 24-year-old’s supposed “secret pregnancy” and its possible correlation to the girl group’s current hiatus.

“Jennie is pregnant. Yep, you read it right. YG is doing their best to hide all [this] information from us. Because they already saw the blinks reactions from the EXO-KAI dating issue,” the user wrote, referencing Jennie’s rumored ex.

The post also included pictures of Blackpink’s member with a supposed "baby bump" to support the claim.

The user’s post immediately sparked mixed reactions and outrage that mostly spurred from Blinks, the girl group’s fanbase. The user’s purported claims were slammed by fans as madeup and completely fake, lashing out at the user to defend the K-pop icon from the disinformation.

Despite Blackpink remaining veiled for now, available proof of Jennie being active for the past few months along with her surfeit of photoshoot events were the fandom’s rebuttal to the erroneous rumor. Fans addressed these false stories by reposting the rumor and calling out the user for slandering the Blackpink member.

“Please report the account of Gusion Wansue. He's been spreading false info regarding BLACKPINK. Blinks we need your help please. He keeps saying Jennie is pregnant," a fan posted.

"Who tf says Jennie is pregnant wherein fact she gets to have this recent photoshoot for a magazine cover with a perfect body? Go get a brain," another fan said.

Besides being a revered Blackpink member, the singer-rapper superstar has pursued a promising avenue outside her music career. Jentle Home, in collaboration with Korea’s luxury eyewear brand Gentle Monster, is Jennie Kim’s very own passion project, Forbes reported.

The K-pop star’s newest collection will culminate her talents in fashion design featuring oversized sunglasses, trendy spectacles, detachable fashion chains as well as other glam accessories. The brand name Jentle Home originates from Jennie’s own doll houses she once played with as a child.
