Blake Lively Celebrates 30th Birthday With Anna Kendrick, Celeb Friends
Blake Lively threw a birthday bash with her girlfriends.
On Friday, Lively turned 30, and she celebrated her big day with several pals, including Anna Kendrick, Lorraine Schwartz and Ofira Sandberg. "The Shallows" star shared a number of photos from the party on her social media. One Instagram photo showed Ryan Reynolds' wife seated at a table with six of her guests, with Kendrick right beside Lively. "My super sweet 16. ...but like 14 years late," Lively wrote in the caption.
In another post, she cuddles with Schwartz and Sandberg, the trio looking happy and clearly enjoying the party. "Best bday surprise = my sisters from a different mama @lorraineschwartz @ofirajewelz," Lively wrote. "Love you til I'm 40. But not a day longer."
Lively's husband, however, was noticeably missing in the photos, so he may not have been present during the bash. But though he may not have attended the party, the "Deadpool" star made sure to shower his wife with affection on her birthday.
Reynolds posted a humorous birthday greeting on Instagram to mark her special day. In true Ryan Reynolds fashion, the actor shared a photo of them together on the red carpet, but made sure to crop out his wife from the picture first. "Happy Birthday to my amazing wife," the caption of the hilarious post read.
This is not the first time Reynolds has injected his own brand of sardonic humor into his social media posts. For instance, when Gal Gadot's "Wonder Woman" surpassed his film "Deadpool" at the box office, he posted a special message for the Patty Jenkins-directed movie on Instagram. "The Hitman's Bodyguard" star shared a photo showing a "Wonder Woman" necklace and his gloved hands forming a heart shape. In the caption, he wrote, "The Merc May Be Filthier, but Her B.O. is Stronger. Congrats #WonderWoman #BoxOfficeBoss."
It is no surprise that Reynolds and his wife get along so well. When Lively recently dished on their marriage and family life, she shared that Reynolds is good at making her laugh and making up stories, especially when he posts online about their daughter.
"He may as well work for the Enquirer. When he says 'my daughter,' he's never, ever talking about her," Lively told Glamour about her husband's social media posts. "Everything is a completely made-up scenario. He’ll run them by me sometimes just to make me laugh. But oh, I’m so in love with him when he writes that stuff. I mean, I’m in love with him most of the time, but especially with that."
