Blake Shelton-Gwen Stefani Update: 'The Voice' Coaches Looking To Buy A House Together To Make It A 'Love Nest'
Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton are planning to take their relationship to the next level as a report by Hollywood Life said Monday that they might be looking to move into a house in Oklahoma. The couple went public with their relationship in November while they were the coaches on Season 9 of “The Voice.”
“Gwen and Blake are thinking about buying a love nest! Gwen loves Oklahoma and she actually thinks it would be a great place for her boys to grow up,” a source told Hollywood Life, adding: “However, every time she and Blake talk about moving in, they always seem to decide that it’s too soon for both of them. That said, all the traveling, hotels, and suitcases are becoming a major inconvenience, so they’re trying to think of it less as moving in together and more of buying a convenient place for them to hang out!”
A report last month by Hollywood Life said that Shelton was close to Stefani’s family while the source in Monday's report added that he is close to Stefani’s children as well.
“Gwen obviously has her boys to worry about, but they absolutely adore Blake! He’s like a big kid himself so they kind of think of him as like the 4th brother,” the source reportedly said, adding: “He loves to play video games with them, put them on his shoulders, and he even built a fort with them!”
A report earlier this month said that Stefani was planning to have a child with Shelton. However, the source cited in Hollywood Life's Tuesday report said that finding a house was a priority.
“The next step is to move in with each other. Blake wants to be with her at all times. He loves the feeling that he would be able to go home and she would be there,” the source reportedly said.
Stefani divorced Gavin Rossdale in August and rumors at the time said that he had cheated on the “Baby Don’t Lie” singer with their nanny Mindy Mann. Shelton and his former wife, Miranda Lambert, finalized their divorce in July.
Lambert shared a photo on her Instagram page last week, where she was seen cuddling with her new boyfriend Anderson East. She also opened up about her relationship with Shelton in an interview for the January issue of Cosmopolitan and had said that they were friends.
“We were together for 10 years, married for four, were very quickly divorced, and we’re friends. I’m still processing everything and figuring out where to go and what happened,” Lambert reportedly said, adding: “[Marriage is] a tough business, and we gave it our best college try … I had a great relationship with an amazing man, so I know what good is. I have a great launching pad for the future.”
