Blake Shelton Won’t Announce His Engagement Gwen Stefani This Way
As fans wait patiently for Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton to tie the knot, the country singer gave some insight into how the couple will break the news. Shelton and Stefani have been dating for almost four years now, and the pressure has been mounting for the couple to say, “I do.”
The pair don’t seem to be in any rush to get married, which Shelton, 43, says is because their relationship is going strong. He told Entertainment Tonight, “You know, I gotta say that we couldn’t be happier, and we’ve never been doing better.”
Shelton and Stefani will appear together on the next season of “The Voice.” This is where the couple began their relationship after Shelton divorced from Miranda Lambert and Stefani divorced from Gavin Rossdale.
Fans, however, might be in for a treat when Shelton and Stefani finally do get engaged as the country singer told Entertainment Tonight, “Obviously, that’s gotta lead somewhere, but I promise you, we won’t break the news in any of the grocery store trash magazines.”
It is obvious that Stefani has stolen Shelton’s heart as he explained to the news outlet that she is “The most encouraging person I’ve ever had in my life, on any level.”
He went on to say that “It’s unbelievable how supportive she is. I tell her this all the time, and she doesn’t realize it, but Gwen’s one of these people that I learn so much from, because no matter what the situation is, she has a way of looking at something from every angle possible, and understanding if there’s turmoil or something going on, instead of just jumping to conclusions or reacting, it’s, ‘Well, here’s why they may feel that way.’”
Shelton is also slightly entertained by the rumors that circulate about his relationship with Stefani, telling Entertainment Tonight, “First of all, the rumors stuff, I’m not gonna sit here and say that it makes me mad. It’s funny. I’ve learned over the years just to take that for what it is.”
“If I am somehow, and Gwen is somehow, newsworthy enough that they have to make up stories about us just to have something to say, then I guess that’s a good problem to have,” he added.
