Kelly Rizzo posted a moving tribute to her late husband Bob Saget on social media following his funeral Friday.
On Saturday, Rizzo, 42, shared on Instagram a photo of her and her "sweet" husband cuddled up next to each other as they posed for the camera. The Eat Travel Rock blogger accompanied the snap with a message in which Rizzo admits she's trying to find perspective after Saget died on Jan. 9.
"My sweet husband," Rizzo began. "After much reflection this week, I’m trying, really trying, to not think I was robbed of time. But instead to think: How lucky was I that I got to be the one to be married to THE MOST INCREDIBLE MAN ON EARTH. I was the one who got to go on this crazy ride with him and be in his life these last 6 years."
Rizzo said she was grateful that they had that time to "make each other the happiest we’d ever been and change each other’s lives forever" and that she got to be the person to love and cherish Saget.
"He deserves all the love. Every ounce of it," she continued. "Because that’s how amazing Bob was. He was love. If you were in his life you KNEW he loved you. He never missed an opportunity to tell you."
Rizzo went on to say that she has "no regrets" as she and Saget "loved each other so damn much" and told each other "500 times every day."
"I know how much he loved me until the very last moment and he knew the same. I’m so grateful for that. Not everyone gets that," she wrote.
The "Full House" star was found dead in his hotel room at the Ritz-Carlton in Orlando, Florida, on Jan. 9 while he was on his 2022 comedy tour. He was 65.
Saget and Rizzo dated for several years after meeting on social media in 2015. They wed in October 2018 in Santa Monica, California.
An unnamed source told People that Saget talked to his wife on the phone just hours before he died. He was set to fly home the following day, but when Rizzo didn't hear from him, she called the hotel to check on her husband. Security was sent up to his room at the Ritz-Carlton, where he was found dead.
Following news of his death, Rizzo said in a statement that she was "shattered" and "in disbelief."
In her first social media post since her husband's passing, Rizzo said she was grateful for the kindness and support she received from loved ones and strangers who reached out to her following the heartbreaking loss.
"Everyone loves Bob and everyone wants to make sure I’m OK. And for that, I’m eternally grateful," Rizzo wrote.
She went on to share that she plans to keep Saget's memory alive by supporting the Scleroderma Research Foundation. She also vowed to love his three daughters — Aubrey, 34, Lara, 32, Jennifer, 29 — whom he shared with ex-wife Sherri Kramer.
"Bob had so much more he wanted to do and so much more love to give. And to the best of my ability it will be my mission to share how amazing he was with the world, and try in some small way to keep spreading his message of love and laughter," Rizzo wrote, adding, "Honey, I love you more than anything, forever."
Saget was laid to rest in a private memorial service at Mt. Sinai Memorial Park Cemetery in Hollywood Hills, Los Angeles, Friday. His family and friends, including "Full House" co-stars John Stamos, Candace Cameron Bure, Jodie Sweetin, Dave Coulier, Lori Loughlin and Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, were all present.
