There were recent reports that Rihanna wants to play Whitney Houston in a biopic of the singer's life, but Bobbi Kristina Brown is reportedly saying that she wants to play the role of her mother. Twitter

Whitney Houston’s daughter Bobbi Kristina Brown has a serious drinking problem, according to family members who appeared on a reality show.

Her family fears that the 19-year-old may drink herself to death. Though Bobbi is not of age, family members said Houston would let her daughter have a glass of wine or a glass of champagne with dinner.

Family members and close friends told TMZ that Brown's drinking habits have gotten out of control since she stopped filming the Lifetime reality show, "The Houstons: On Our Own," and they fear for her life if they don’t intervene.

The reality series shows Brown guzzling wine and slurring her words. When the family looks concerned that she’s slamming alcohol she tells them that it tastes so good, “it taste like apple juice,” she says.

People who are close to Brown feel that she has allowed for her mother’s enablers to get close into her life and they feed her whatever alcohol she wants, TMZ reported. If Brown is unable to get the enablers out of her life, she could end up like her mother.

Many people, according to sources, were aware that Houston was spiraling out of control and didn’t take the initiative to stop her self-destruction. They don’t want Brown to suffer the same fate as her mother and now that they see she might have an addiction too, they’ll do anything to stop it.

During a teaser for the reality show, Brown’s aunt, Pat Houston, tells the cameras that she might have to take Bobbi Kristina Brown to California to get her healthy.

TMZ added that she was referring to the same center where Houston received treatment from a drug counselor.

However, sources explained to the website they don’t want Brown to go to the same counselor because he didn’t help Houston therefore he will fail at helping her daughter.
