Bobbi Kristina, Whitney Houston's Daughter, 'Doing Much Better' After Mother's Death, Says Bobby Brown
Bobbi Kristina, the 18-year-old daughter of Whitney Houston, has been having a difficult time dealing with the loss of her mother, but her father, Bobby Brown said she is emotionally improving as the days go on.
My daughter Bobbi Kristina is doing much better, Bobby Brown said in a statement to ABC News on Tuesday. We continue to provide love and support to Bobbi Kristina. She is dealing with the tragedy of her mother's death and would prefer to do it outside of the public eye. I ask again that our privacy be respected.
Bobbi Kristina, who turns 19 in March, was treated for stress and anxiety issues on Sunday, related to the death of her mother at the Beverly Hilton the night before, according to Access Hollywood.
She was taken out of the Beverly Hilton in a stretcher and treated at Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles.
Obviously the death of her mother is affecting her. However we will get through this tragedy as a family, Bobby Brown told People magazine.
Brown also denied any rumors that he was forbidden to attend the funeral by his in-laws.
Any report or statement that does not originate from my office about Bobby Brown or his representatives, is not authorized by Bobby Brown, said a Brown representative in a statement. We are not focused on reports, stories or false reports for that matter.
Houston's family members confirmed that the family does not want Brown to attend, however, they will not stop him because he is Bobbi Kristina's father, reported ABC. Bobbi Kristina is Brown's only child with Houston, although he has five other children.
Houston's family has a private funeral planned for Saturday in Newark, N.J., where she grew up. The service will be held at New Hope Baptist Church where she previously sang in the church choir.
