House Speaker John Boehner knew President Barack Obama was trouble when he walked in. But with all the haters hating, the Republican leader just can't seem to shake it off.

Did those Taylor Swift references make you cringe? Too bad. Apparently, Swift is now part of the GOP's talking points and how Americans talk about politics. Boehner's press office released Friday 13 GIFs showing America's favorite pop star "reacting" to the White House's recent plan to grant free tuition to community college students who meet certain requirements. The social media-friendly press release was created by Caleb Smith and Mike Ricci from Boehner's communication staff.

"When President Obama said 'free' what he meant was '60 Billion dollars over 10 years,'" the caption for one GIF reads as Swift shakes her head.

"60 billion dollars is a lot of money...you can't just shake it off," read another post as Swift dances in a GIF to her recent hit "Shake it Off."

Under Obama's plan released last week, students would have to go to school at least half-time and maintain a 2.5 grade point average to get free tuition. The proposal would cost the federal government roughly $60 billion over 10 years.

It's unlikely that Congress will approve the plan. "Unless the president has a responsible plan to meet our existing commitments, he shouldn't be making new promises the American people can't afford," Rep. John Kline, R-Minn., chairman of the House Education and the Workforce Committee, said last week.

Obama and Taylor Swift have been linked before. After the brutal midterms saw Republicans win back the Senate and keep the House, "Tonight Show" host Jimmy Fallon released a video of the president "singing" "Shake it Off."
