He didn’t stand in the way of an immunity deal that would keep the woman responsible for the torture his family went through in prison. Now, Ridge will suffer the consequences of his actions as word gets out about Flo’s release on the Wednesday, Sept. 11 episode.

After learning that Flo (Katrina Bowden) was up for release and could see all the charges against her in the Baby Beth kidnapping scandal dropped, Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) was initially adamant she not be given any deal at all on the CBS soap. However, after it was brought to his attention that Flo would likely bring up Thomas’ (Matthew Atkinson) suspected involvement in Emma’s (Nia Sioux) death at her trial, reopening that case as a result, he agreed not to stand in the way in a move to protect his son from prosecution.

However, as news spreads that Flo is being released from prison and will be able to resume her normal life, questions will be asked by everyone who wants to know how it happened. When the news gets to Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) however, it will lead to things becoming doubly awful for her marriage to Ridge, which ha already been strained because she still feels Thomas is a danger to Hope (Annika Noelle) and not only doesn’t want him around but wants him in jail as well.

Naturally, this won’t sit well with his wife—and their marriage will finally reach what seems like its breaking point. Now, with everything on the line, they could find themselves crossing to the point of no return when it comes to what happens with their marriage and where things will stand for them in the future.
