‘Bold And The Beautiful’ Spoilers: Quinn And Ridge Beg Eric For Forgiveness

They’ve been keeping their secret affair from him for some time, but now that the truth is out thanks to Sheila, Ridge and Quinn will find themselves begging Eric for forgiveness on the Monday, July 5 episode of “The Bold and the Beautiful.”

Suspicious about them, Sheila (Kimberlin Brown) beat Quinn (Rena Sofer) and Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) to the punch on the CBS soap by going to Eric (John McCook) with her belief that they had been having an affair behind his back. Though the two didn’t sleep together and don’t have genuine feelings for one another, they did share some kisses. Aware that Sheila had learned the truth, Quinn begged Ridge to go with her and tell Eric the truth. When he finally agreed however, they learned they were too late and Eric already knew.

Now, Sheila will challenge Quinn to lie to her husband again about what happened with his son, forcing Eric’s wife to finally come clean.

“Tell Eric that I’m wrong,” Sheila says in a preview clip. “I dare you.”

Quinn will then tell Eric everything, and he will not only be dumbfounded and devastated, but angry as well, since this isn’t the first time Ridge has seemingly stolen one of his wives, as he also took Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) many years before. However, as she tries to assure Eric that what did happen meant nothing, and nothing else ever will happen, she will find herself begging for her husband’s forgiveness.

“I’ve made mistakes,” she cries. “I made many mistakes.”

For Quinn, losing Eric will mean losing the second chance she was given to prove herself as a different person from the one she was before, and she’s afraid that without having the support, love and confidence he had in her to be a good person, she will resort to her old ways. However, when Eric pushes her away, she will realize her worst fears have come true, and he may no longer want anything to do with her because of her betrayal.

When he sees Eric push her away though, Ridge will find himself trying to help make the situation better for her, by trying to encourage his father not to take things out on her, since the brief affair had been his own doing, and Quinn had simply fallen victim to his attempt to get her out of Eric’s life because he felt his father deserved much better than a woman with her history.

“Don’t throw away what you have with her because of a stupid mistake,” he says in the clip.

Unfortunately for both of them, it may be too late now to keep Eric from making rash decisions against them, because not only did they betray him with an affair, they betrayed him by lying about it for so long and making him seem like a fool. And as much as they try to get his forgiveness, there may be no hope.

“The Bold and the Beautiful” airs weekdays at 1:30 p.m. EDT on CBS.
