He’s one of the only people who wasn’t aware of the secret his wife and son were keeping from him. However, that will all change for Eric on the Monday, July 3 episode of “The Bold and the Beautiful.”

Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) and Quinn (Rena Sofer) have managed to keep the truth about their low-key affair from Eric (John McCook) for months, despite Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang), Katie (Heather Tom) and Ivy (Ashleigh Brewer) all being aware of the truth. But now that Sheila (Kimberlin Brown) seems to be catching on to the secret, Quinn will decide the time has come to let Eric know what really happened on the CBS soap.

Eric was curious about why Ridge and Brooke’s wedding was called off just one day before it was supposed to happen, but dropped the subject when it became clear his son didn’t want to discuss it. He had no clue it was because Brooke had seen Ridge and Quinn sharing a kiss on the beach, and is still unaware. After Sheila confronted her and seemed to hint that she knew what had happened as well, Quinn realized that Eric needed to finally learn the truth. However, Ridge will remain certain that the worst thing to do is tell Eric the truth, and will refuse when Quinn insists that they come clean.

“If we tell him, together, maybe he’ll find a way to understand,” she says in a preview clip. “And then he can forgive us.”

“No, we’re not going to do that,” Ridge insists.

However, Quinn will remain worried that Sheila, who has nothing to lose from telling Eric the truth, will strike out, and her concerns will be warranted.

Sheila, despite claiming she has reformed and changed her ways of the past, still wants Eric for herself, and has been looking into Quinn and Ridge and their relationship ever since Charlie (Dick Christie) hinted that there was more there than anyone else could see. Now, she will demand Charlie tells her everything he thinks he knows, so she can potentially use the information against the woman she considers to be her enemy.

“Is there something going on between Quinn and Ridge?” she asks.

Scared of what she may do to him, Charlie may tell her there is, though he doesn’t have any actual proof beyond the few interactions he witnessed that seemed to suggest the two didn’t despise one another as much as they claimed. Though it won’t be concrete evidence of an affair, it will be good enough for Sheila, and she will waste no time going to Eric to share her suspicions.

“I think Quinn and Ridge are having an affair,” she says in the clip.

The information will be an absolute bombshell for Eric, though he will seem unlikely to believe what Sheila is telling him. As the object of her affection, he knows better than anyone that she will do whatever it takes to get to him and remove whatever wife he’s married to from the picture. But even if he chooses not to believe her, the damage could be done and he could find himself on alert whenever he goes near his wife and his son.
