'Bold And The Beautiful' Spoilers: Steffy Receives Unexpected News

She is desperate to get the results of a paternity test so she can know for sure who fathered her child. However, Steffy may instead get news she never expected on the Wednesday, Dec. 27 episode of "The Bold and the Beautiful."

Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) has been quietly panicking about the fact that she's pregnant, because while it's good news for Liam (Scott Clifton) that he and his wife are having a baby on the CBS soap, he doesn't know that his wife may actually be carrying someone else's child—his own father, Bill's (Don Diamont).

Now, Steffy has returned to her doctor to once again to get the results of the test, and she is desperate for the results to state that the baby belongs to Liam.

"Liam has to be the father," she says in a preview clip.

However, she may be surprised when her doctor sees something peculiar in the results. Steffy didn't previously reveal that she needed a test because the potential fathers were father and son, but it will quickly become evident that the men are related—and that could complicate things even further.

Steffy will continue to insist though that things need to work out the way she wants, because she isn't willing to lose her marriage, as Liam is the man she wants to be with for the rest of her life.

"The only person that I want to spend the rest of my life with is Liam," she maintains.

However, the doctor may have some bad news for Steffy. Due to the similarities in DNA of the two men, it may become impossible to actually conduct a proper test on the baby until it is born. If that is what happens in this case, then it will mean Steffy will not only have to wait until her pregnancy is over to learn the truth, but also keep the secret from Liam even longer. If she is forced to continue doing that, it could lead to more stress—and she could eventually find herself caving from the pressure.

"The Bold and the Beautiful" airs weekdays at 1:30 p.m. EST on CBS.
