Bones
Brennan (Emily Deschanel, left) and Booth (David Boreanaz, right) are back (though one is in prison) for the Season 10 premiere of "Bones." FOX

An all new season of “Bones” begins Thursday, Sept. 25 with the season premiere, “The Conspiracy in the Corps,” at 8 p.m. EDT on FOX. The premiere will kick off Season 10 of the long-running drama, giving fans a chance to see Booth (David Boreanaz) and Brennan (Emily Deschanel) back in action once again.

Here are 11 things to know before the Season 10 premiere of “Bones.”

1. Booth in Prison

Fans know that, as a result of digging too deep into the still-unresolved McNamara-FBI conspiracy, Booth was framed in the Season 9 finale for killing three FBI officers after being attacked. Booth starts Season 10 of “Bones” behind bars, and he’s not having an easy go of it. He is locked inside with quite a few people that he has helped put away, and they are none too pleased to have the FBI officer among their ranks. Even the guards don’t seem to be taking any pity on poor Booth, as a sneak peek scene shows.

Another sneak peek scene shows Brennan visiting Booth in prison, worried for his safety. She tells him that the conspirators are hoping that he dies in prison before he has a chance to exonerate himself. Can she get him out before that happens?

2. Premiere Synopsis

It will be up to Brennan to get her husband out, and the premiere synopsis reveals that, as she and her team work frantically to solve the case and clear his name, the remains of a man dead nearly 16 years may be the key to the whole conspiracy case. However, Brennan is not above a little blackmail to ensure her husband’s safety, as a sneak peek scene shows.

3. Hot Hookup

When Brennan finally does get Booth out of prison, one trailer suggests they have some “catching up” to do. Fans can look forward to a hot reunion hookup for the couple in Season 10.

4. New House

Booth will also come home from prison to a new house. Fans will remember that Booth and Brennan’s old house sustained some damage after an FBI shootout destroyed the place. Season 10 will see them in entirely new digs, which should be a treat for fans.

5. New Baby

In addition to the new house, there will be a new baby in Season 10! No, it is not Booth and Brennan’s baby. Daisy (Carla Gallo) is pregnant, a trailer reveals, and the husband is none other than Dr. Lance Sweets (John Francis Daley).

6. Episode Titles

The titles for Season 10’s first six episodes are as follows:

Episode 1 - “The Conspiracy in the Corps” (Sept. 25)

Episode 2 - "The Lance to the Heart" (Oct. 2)

Episode 3 - "The Purging of the Pundit" (Oct. 9)

Episode 4 - "The Geek in the Guck" (Oct. 16)

Episode 5 - "The Corpse at the Convention" (Oct. 30)

Episode 6 - "The Lost Love in the Foreign Land" (Nov. 6)

7. A New Friend?

John Boyd, best known for his role as Arlo Glass in “24,” will guest star in a recurring role for much of Season 10. Boyd will play James Aubrey, a junior FBI agent who works with Booth and Brennan to solve the conspiracy but must first gain Booth’s trust.

8. Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder

For Aubrey (James Boyd), gaining Booth’s trust will be no easy task. Producers, as well as the show’s stars, have made it clear that Booth will be suffering from some serious PTSD in the new season after everything that went down in Season 9. He also, as a trailer shows, is out for revenge, willing to do anything (even put his career on the line) to take down whoever framed him.

9. Tables Turning Guest

Phyllis Logan, who plays Mrs. Hughes (the head housekeeper) on PBS’s “Downton Abbey,” will make a guest appearance in a Season 10 episode. Logan will play Sandra Zins, a wealthy woman whose own housekeeper has been killed, and Zins may be covering up a dark secret. The episode will be a dark role reversal on Logan’s most famous role.

10. Gil Bellows

David Boreanaz’s Booth may be in prison at the start of Season 10, but another actor, Gil Bellows, most famous for a prison role of his own, will be a making a guest appearance in the new episodes. Bellows is best known for playing Tommy Williams in “Shawshank Redemption, “the inmate killed by the warden (Bob Gunton) after bringing to light evidence that could free fellow inmate Andy (Tim Robbins). Bellows will play Mason Curtiz, the wealthy manager of a Wall Street brokerage firm. Booth questions Curtiz when one of Curtiz’s employees is murdered.

11. Crossword Puzzles

Booth and Brennan will be undercover again for an episode in Season 10. The two will go incognito to blend in at, of all things, a crossword puzzle tournament. Fans should have fun watching this upcoming episode.
