Taylor Swift is one of the four women who get to grace the cover of People Magazine for their 2019 People of the Year issue. Jennifer Lopez, Jennifer Aniston, and Michelle Obama are the other three women who also got their own cover.

During the interview with the magazine, Swift told them what book she enjoyed most in 2019. It happened to be the best-selling memoir “Inside Out” by actress Demi Moore.

“I couldn’t put it down. You read it in two days!” Swift revealed. “I was thinking about how when she was the highest-paid actress, she was just punished ruthlessly for it. That’s so wrong, and she was treated so badly in that moment.”

The singer went on to say why she liked the book so much.

“I feel like finally she’s getting the last laugh because [now] people are like ‘Yeah! That’s great that you were the highest-paid actress,'” Swift said. “She owns a lot in the book, and it’s really well-written.”

“Inside Out” is about Moore’s life as a young actress. The title was inspired by a silk-screen that Andy Warhol gave her for her 23rd birthday, the New York Times reported.

“On it was an image of a pyramid, an eye and kind of like a Christ/Buddha figure sitting in a lotus position,” Moore said. “What it said was, ‘The only way out is in.’ This became the last line of the book.”

“As much as her story is about adversity, it is also about tremendous resilience,” Moore’s book description reads. “In this deeply candid and reflective memoir, Demi pulls back the curtain and opens up about her career and personal life—laying bare her tumultuous relationship with her mother, her marriages, her struggles balancing stardom with raising a family, and her journey toward open heartedness.”

The memoir premiered at No. 1 on the nonfiction list, according to the New York Times.
