'Borderlands 3' Developer Accidentally Leaks Trailer: Cross Platform Play Could Be Featured Soon
People can't wait for 'Borderlands 3' and Gearbox has released another bombshell (accidentally).
It's a couple more days before "Borderlands" gets released and what better way to promote Gearbox's beloved gem is to leak actual content. For weeks know, the raunchy first-person shooter has been the talk of the town and it aims to double up the success of its predecessor with new physics and more immersive gameplay.
In case you've missed the hype-train, "Borderlands 3" has been touted as the next big thing in all gaming platforms. It means that you get to experience it on the PS4, PC and Xbox One. More importantly, developers have talked about cross-platform play in the past. It might be one of the games' features on its release, or it may follow later in a DLC package.
If you are curious enough, the game will be out on September 13, and Gearbox has promised a final trailer before its debut. Unfortunately, the developer's Twitter account seems to have posted the final trailer online earlier than expected and deleted it afterward, apparently after realizing their mistake.
However, we're not sure if its some promotional gimmick or an actual corporate blunder. Whatever the case is, the leaked trailer confirms what gamers have been mumbling for months: the game looks fun.
Eagle-eyed fans were quick to download the three-minute snippet and were able to keep it on Reddit. The video starts similarly with "Borderland 3's" grand opening cinematic with all the musical obbligato and action-packed shooting to spare.
Gearbox hasn't hinted when they'll release the full-resolution launch trailer. It could happen anytime, especially with its debut happening days from now. If you've seen the video, you'll agree that it has all the recipe for a good game. A Reddit user even thinks that Marvel's "Guardians of the Galaxy" heavily influenced its gameplay.
If you've played its previous iterations, you know that every "Borderlands" game is bigger than its predecessor. September 13 is just around the corner, "Vamanos, minion! Arriba, Arriba!"
