‘Boruto: Naruto Next Generations’ Chapter 48 Spoilers, Release Date: Isshiki Otsutsuki’s Fate

The mask is off, and the real identity has been revealed. However, the fight continues in “Boruto: Naruto Next Generations” chapter 48.

A small preview for “Boruto: Naruto Next Generations” chapter 48 is out. According to the preview, the true identity of Jigen has been revealed. Also, it is teased that Isshiki Otsutsuki may be defeated.

“Boruto: Naruto Next Generations” chapter 47 opens with Boruto wondering if Isshiki can absorb all the flame. Kawaki tells him that he cannot absorb as they are natural flames. However, Isshiki manages to tackle the flame, and they can see it shrinking. Amado explains that it is Sukunahikona, Isshiki’s secret jutsu. This jutsu is capable of shrinking and restoring anything except living beings.

Jigen starts to run out of chakra, and the flames overpower him. Naruto wonders if this is the end of Isshiki. However, Sasuke tells him that Isshiki still has two Karmas left that will allow him to reincarnate twice.

Meanwhile, Sasuke knows that the end of Jigen would lead to Isshiki going for Kawaki as his sole vessel. Shikamaru suspects that it was all part of a bigger plan.

In the meantime, Kawaki enters the interrogation room and attacks Amado, but Sasuke stops him.

Amado tries to explain that it is a misunderstanding, and he can explain. He adds that Jigen’s body will disintegrate because of the flames, and the reincarnation process will initiate automatically.

He explains that Jigen’s Karma had enough time to complete the extraction, so Isshiki can use Jigen’s body as a vessel. However, In Kawaki’s case, the process is yet to be completed.

Shikamaru thinks that Isshiki won’t be able to return for a while after Jigen’s body is destroyed.

Towards the end of the chapter, Isshiki stands there in his real form, and everything around him shrinks. Meanwhile, Koji’s mask shrinks and breaks, revealing his true identity. Isshiki recognizes him as the clone of Jiraiya of the Great Three.

“Boruto: Naruto Next Generations” chapter 48 is scheduled to release Monday (July 20). The chapter will be officially available on Viz and Manga Plus.
