‘Boruto: Naruto Next Generations’ Episode 180 Spoilers: Mugino, The Assassin

Before the Vessel arc kickstarts, the anime will showcase a Mugino-centric episode. "Boruto: Naruto Next Generations" Episode 180 will showcase Boruto visiting Mugino’s home as the installment explores the secret assassin’s life. The new episode is titled "The Assassin, Mugino."

The official preview trailer for "Boruto: Naruto Next Generations" Episode 180 shows Mugino’s back story. Moreover, it appears that fans will finally learn how Mugino became an assassin.

Meanwhile, as the series enters the Vessel arc, there are new characters coming in. The new cast members include Yūma Uchida as Kawaki, Yūichi Nakamura as Koji Kashin, Houko Kuwashima as Delta, Kenta Miyake as Boro, Junta Terashima as Code, and Akio Ohtsuka as Amado.

Viz Media tweeted the trailer for the Vessel arc introducing the rivalry between Kawaki and Boruto.

The episode starts with Victor’s monologue about how impressive his airship is. He reveals that it comes with the latest stealth capabilities. However, Victor remains weak because every time he uses Regeneration Jutsu, additional parts of his body start to deteriorate.

Later, he teleports to a secret Kara hideout and meets Amado or the “mad scientist.”

Amado informs that his body’s regenerative capabilities are fast declining and that is a worrying sign. He suggests that he can make some replacement body parts for Victor. However, Victor is in no mood to continue to be Amado’s guinea pig.

Victor tells him that his body is giving up fast and he cannot wait for Kara to implement their plan. Suddenly, Victor collapses and goes into a comatose state. Amado takes him to the infirmary but has to leave after he gets a call from Delta.

Turns out, Victor deliberately put himself into a coma by consuming a medicine. He reveals his plans to gather information about the vessel.

Victor manages to get intel about the vessel and even convinces Jigen and Amado to use his airship to transport the vessel.

Jigen learns that the vessel project has reached phase 3. Victor tries to override the airship’s control but fails. The last scene shows Jigen on a throne. It is likely he knew about Victor’s scheme.
