The official synopsis of "Boruto: Naruto Next Generations" Episode 221 is out on TV Tokyo. It reveals the motive of the chunin test is to cheer up the people of the Hidden Leaf Village who are horrified after the recent Isshiki Otsutsuki attacks.

Moreover, seeing the genin perform at a high level will assure the citizens of the village that if a threat emerges again, the warriors will be able to beat it.

Boruto and his classmates from the genin class are aiming to clear the exams with flying colors. Also, they are working toward getting promoted as chunin.

In Episode 220 of the anime, Naruto called a Gokage Summit to discuss the pressing matters surrounding Otsutsuki.

During the summit, Gaara asked Naruto if he was willing to take down his son Boruto if Momoshiki takes over his consciousness again. Naruto vowed he will do anything that needed to be done as a Hokage.
