  • Fanmio CEO Solomon Engel said Floyd Mayweather could fight other top names after Logan Paul
  • Mayweather is the heavy favorite to prevail over the YouTuber
  • Engel opted not to divulge the next possible targets of Mayweather

Floyd Mayweather Jr. has been repeatedly linked to a return to boxing, and one match is happening in February. Although it is not the type of clash that most are expecting, his face-off with YouTuber Logan Paul is still expected to draw its fair share of viewers.

The fight is getting ample backing from Fanmio, a company that prides itself on connecting fans with celebrities. And according to them, Mayweather is open to doing more fights – likely getting some inspiration from the success of the Mike Tyson vs. Roy Jones Jr. pay-per-view last month.

"I can't speak for Floyd's future but I can tell you we are looking to work together beyond this fight. So, there may be future fights beyond this one but it's too early to tell for sure. We have a lot to bring to the table and the sport of boxing. But, at the end of the day his future will be determined by him," Solomon Engel, founder and CEO of Fanmio, said.

However, Engel kept mum on who else may be on the 43-year-old’s radar. He admitted that there are potential next opponents for Mayweather, but more conversations need to be done. Regardless, he is confident that anyone who faces the future Boxing Hall of Famer will be a big draw.

"Fanmio is a new division of boxing. We are taking this very seriously and we are already working through other really exciting events. There are certainly other big fighters that we are in discussions with, putting fights together for hopefully next year. We are definitely taking the more untraditional approach, meaning we are trying to create the most exciting fights - that would generate in the millions of PPVs. We have a handful of very exciting fights to come," he said.

Mayweather is the heavy favorite to prevail over Logan in that February clash. Regardless, it is an honor for the 25-year-old, who has had only one boxing match so far. This was against KSI which he lost via split decision. But as most know, Money is far different from KSI.

Paul recently took a swipe at detractors, particularly Canelo Alvarez. The Mexican is one of many boxers who felt that he and his brother Jake Paul, 23, are disrespecting the sport by challenging top names to a boxing match.

The 25-year-old fired back at Alvarez and used his previous issue with banned substances to point out who was disrespecting who.

It will be a busy 2021 for the Paul brothers. After his February showdown, his brother Jake Paul will take on Ben Askren in a boxing match of their own. "Funky" will come out of retirement and from a hip replacement with his boxing know-how unknown.
