  • Tim Tebow turned down Jake Paul's boxing challenge
  • Paul appears to be looking for his next opponent after winning his match against Tyron Woodley
  • Tebow is focusing on his TV career and is set to appear on ESPN’s "First Take" with Stephen A. Smith

YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul is looking for a new opponent, and the latest personality he has tried to lure into the ring is former NFL player Tim Tebow.

Tebow failed in his attempt to make an NFL return with the Jacksonville Jaguars last month. There has been little update on what the 34-year-old plans to do next, but he recently made it clear that boxing is not among his options.

Last week, Paul pitched the idea via Twitter, writing, "aye @TimTebow I think it’s time for you to get into boxing?!"

While a match could bring in good money for the former Heisman Trophy winner, Tebow unsurprisingly passed on the suggestion. During a "SportsCenter" segment with David Lloyd, he explained that he does not see himself boxing, at least for now.

"I did pretend to be Rocky in 'Lip Sync Battle,’ and I won that one, so I don't know," Tebow joked.

"I don't think there's much of a shot for that. ... I don't think that's where I'm probably going to head next," he concluded.

Paul is coming off a split-decision win over mixed martial arts fighter Tyron Woodley. A rematch has been suggested, but the 24-year-old said that it would only take place if Woodley fulfilled a bet made early on in the promotion where the loser would have to get the winner's name tattooed on his body.

The YouTuber laid out the tattoo guidelines via Twitter, which included the condition that it "has to be visible with shorts and shirt on."

Woodley appeared open to it as he responded, "Send the contract son. Daddy will put your name next to all my other kids."

As of this writing, it remains to be seen if Paul and Woodley are working on a rematch deal. But if his recent suggestion to Tebow is any indication, the 24-year-old seems to be looking at other opponents to face in the ring.

As for Tebow's own career, he is technically an NFL free agent. Unfortunately, his chances of making it with another team are not looking great.

But the former Denver Broncos player is set to join Stephen A. Smith on ESPN’s "First Take," the New York Post reported. Tebow will go head-to-head with Smith every Friday, while Michael Irvin will co-host the show with Smith on Mondays.

Other personalities who will serve as Smith's debate partners are Mina Kimes and Kendrick Perkins.
