'Boyhood' Star Ellar Coltrane Talks About Next Project At 2015 SAG Awards
“Boyhood” audiences watched Ellar Coltrane grow up during the course of the film, and it looks like they might get to continue watching the actor develop his talent. When interviewed on the E! red carpet at the 2015 SAG Awards, the actor revealed he wanted to make more films.
“I’m looking at other movie parts,” Coltrane said. “Nothing that I can really talk about yet, but I want to make movies. So we’ll see.”
It seems his “Boyhood” co-stars think he’ll go far. “We got so lucky,” co-star Ethan Hawke said as he watched Coltrane on the red carpet. “Who knew the kid would turn into James Dean?”
“Boyhood” focused on Coltrane’s character during a 12-year period from when the actor was 6 years old until he was 18. The film is nominated for three Screen Actors Guild Awards.
