Brad Pitt, Gwyneth Paltrow Getting Back Together? Actress Says ‘That Ship Has Sailed’
Gwyneth Paltrow is not getting back together with her ex-fiancé, Brad Pitt.
Paltrow, 44, held a Goop Facebook Q&A earlier this month, and she was game to answer her fans’ questions, even the awkward ones. One fan asked the “Iron Man 3” star if there was still a chance for her and Pitt to reunite, especially now that the latter has divorced Angelina Jolie. “Someone wants Brad Pitt and I to get back together. I think that ship has sailed, Corey,” Paltrow answered, as quoted by Entertainment Tonight. “I definitely fell in love with him. He was so gorgeous, and sweet -- I mean, he was Brad Pitt, you know?”

The “Shakespeare in Love” star blamed her immaturity for their split. “I was such a kid, I was 22 when we met. It’s taken me until 40 to get my head out of my [butt],” said Paltrow. “You can’t make that decision when you’re 22 years old, you know? ... I think I was a kid and I wasn’t ready, and he was too good for me.”
Paltrow admitted that she was responsible for the end of their engagement. She knew that she broke Pitt’s heart, so she seems to have a few regrets regarding how their relationship ended. The actress felt that Pitt was the one that got away, Daily Mail reported.
In an earlier interview, Paltrow explained that Pitt was like family to them, and her father was devastated upon learning that their romance was over. “My father was so devastated when we broke up,” Paltrow told Vanity Fair. “My father loved him like a son.”
Paltrow and Pitt were together from 1994 to 1997. They first met on the set of “Seven,” and the “Allied” star proposed to Paltrow just two years after. Pitt was very much in love with Paltrow that he even called her his “angel.” Unfortunately, they called off their engagement seven months after, Cosmopolitan reported.
At the moment, Paltrow is juggling a busy career, love life and home life. On top of raising her kids, she is dating TV producer Brad Falchuk and managing her company, Goop.
According to her, Goop is growing, and it needs most of her time and attention. “I’m still going to do a little bit here and there, but [Goop] really requires almost all of my time,” Paltrow said of Goop being her priority. “I’m in the office all day every day and you know, I have a pretty big team now. We are almost 85 people so I kind of need to be at work.”
