Brad Pitt Heartbreak: Angelina Jolie’s Son Maddox’s Shocking Comment About ‘Dad’ Revisited

Angelina Jolie’s eldest son, Maddox, was adopted when in 2002. At that time, Brad Pitt wasn’t still in Maddox’s life. It was only in 2006 that the “Ad Astra” star adopted him and in the next couple of years, he also adopted Pax and Zahara with Jolie.

A source previously told Us Weekly that Maddox doesn’t really see himself as Pitt’s son. And this may be because he was already a few years old when the “Once Upon A Time In Hollywood” star became a part of his life.

However, the source’s statement doesn’t seem to match Jolie’s touching revelation about the father and son’s relationship. During her interview with Vogue, Jolie revealed what her defining moment was when she realized that Pitt would be in her life for a long time.

Jolie said that there was a time when a young Maddox called Pitt “dad” because he frequently saw him with Jolie.

“It was amazing. We were playing with cards on the floor of a hotel room, and we both heard it and didn’t say anything and just looked at each other. So, that was probably the most defining moment, when we decided that we would all be a family,” she said.

But over the years, it seems that Pitt and Maddox never developed a very close relationship with each other. Four years ago, Jolie announced her decision to divorce Pitt, and it had something to do with his altercation with Maddox while onboard the plane.

Since then, the father and son have been avoiding each other. But just recently, Maddox returned to the United States after a short break from his school in South Korean, and he reunited with her dad.

Prior to their reunion, a source told Us Weekly that Pitt is hopeful that as Maddox gets older, they will become closer. And it seems that this is already happening gradually since Maddox has agreed to meet up with his dad.
