Bradley Cooper Didn’t Choose Lady Gaga Over Irina Shayk At Premieres

Rumors, which claimed Bradley Cooper didn’t invite his girlfriend Irina Shayk to some premieres of “A Star Is Born” as he wanted to walk the red carpet with Lady Gaga instead, were false, a report said Thursday.

The claim, which was originally made by Star magazine, was debunked by Gossip Cop.

According to the Star article, Cooper and his girlfriend have an “increasingly rocky relationship.” The article blamed this on the actor’s co-star in the movie, Lady Gaga.

“Ever since Bradley and Gaga became friends working on A Star Is Born, Irina has been jealous of their connection,” an anonymous source told the magazine. “She sees how enamored Bradley is of Gaga’s talent, and it makes her feel insecure about her own modeling career.”

The source went on to say Cooper and Shayk were “fighting a lot” due to the situation, and added the former “didn’t invite her to some premieres because he wanted to walk the carpet with Gaga.”

“Irina doesn’t’ trust him, and Bradley’s never seen this side of her. They want to make it work, but things aren’t looking good,” the anonymous source added.

As Gossip Cop pointed out, many outlets have been spreading similar stories about the worsening relationship between Cooper and Shayk for weeks now. Some claimed the couple was headed for a split over Cooper’s friendship with Gaga. Another report claimed the actor was staying at Gerard Butler’s apartment in New York City following fights with his girlfriend. Both reports were debunked by Gossip Cop.

A source close to Cooper told the website there was no truth to any of the reports. The reality was that there was no rift between the actor and his girlfriend over Gaga despite many tabloids claiming so. Gossip Cop also noted both Cooper and Gaga walked some red carpets solo.

According to the website, Cooper and Shayk choose to keep their relationship private and away from the spotlight. A couple of years ago, Cooper talked about why he took his mom to premieres instead of his girlfriend.

"I just don't talk about certain things," the actor said while refusing to talk about the ins and outs of his relationship, E!News reported. “It’s so great to take someone you’re with to a place where a hundred people are going to photograph you every step you make and ask you tons of questions, and then rip it apart the next day.”

The website also talked about how there was more than enough proof the couple’s relationship was going strong. Less than a few weeks ago, a media outlet published pictures which showed the happy couple taking a stroll with their daughter in New York. And in an interview earlier this week, Shayk, when asked if she was proud of Cooper for his directorial debut with the movie “A Star Is Born,” said: “Of course I am!”
